Ms. Duernberger is a native of Houston County. She went through the Houston County school system from Kindergarten thru 12th grade, and she graduated from Houston County High School. She went to Georgia Southern University after high school where she majored in Biology. She moved home after two years and changed her major to Business and obtained her Bachelors degree in General Business from Middle Georgia State University. She is currently finishing her Masters in Middle Grades Education with Georgia College and State University. She plans to obtain her specialist degree in the following years.

This is Ms. Duernberger's first year as a teacher at Feagin Mill Middle, however this is not her first year in the classroom. She spent the first year of her Master's program as a substitute for the county to obtain a lot of experience in different classroom environments. She is currently a 7th grade Life Science teacher and the FMMS competition cheerleading coach.

Ms. Duernberger is engaged and will be getting married in June of 2022. She loves spending time with her family and being outdoors.
