I received my high school diploma from Hawkinsville High School.  I attended Georgia College and received my B.S. in Special Education and my Masters degree in Interrelated Special Education.  I also received my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.

I am currently in my 20th year of teaching.  I began my career in Knoxville, Tennesse where I taught students with severe and profound disabilities for two years.  I continuted my teaching career in Hawkinsville, Georgia.  During my time at Pulaski County Middle School, I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades to include regular education and special education.  I also served as Middle School Graduation Coach for two years.  I am currently in my sixth year at Huntington Middle School where I currently teach 6th grade special education math.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching and am grateful that I do love my job.  I am the mother of three children: Madalyn, a 9th grader at HCHS, Lena, who attends kindergarten at Lake Joy Primary, and Langston, who turned two in July.  My husband, Greg, is also employed with the Houston County School System at Northside Middle School.
